Food Waste Diversion Awareness Event

Hosted at Cowbell Kitchen • Leesburg, Virginia

Loudoun County residents, neighbors, and local businesses — join us for a community event dedicated to reducing food waste and building a healthier, more resilient Loudoun County. Together with local partners already doing this work on the ground, we'll show you simple, practical ways to keep good food out of the landfill and put it to better use.
At this community event, you'll be able to:
●	Learn how food waste affects our climate, our landfills, and our local waterways — and why it matters right here in Loudoun County.
●	Meet the local Loudoun County organizations already tackling food waste through composting, farm-to-feed donation, and food rescue.
●	Pick up practical, take-home tips for cutting food waste at home, at your business, or at your school.
●	Talk with local partners about volunteering, donating surplus food, or getting your farm, business, or organization involved.
●	Help us shape what's next — community members interested in helping plan future events are welcome to join our volunteer planning group.

We're inviting you both to attend and to get involved. Whether you can only make it to the event itself, or you'd like to help grow this effort going forward, there's a place for you.
